"Of the eve of the 2019 general election, it is recalled that, as two additional offices of Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo LGAS were bombed, our newly-built LGA office in Ibesikpo Asutan was burnt down. "After we have just completed the inventory of electoral materials at national level in preparation for the 2023 elections, the recent assault on our premises is worrying. These attacks, if unchecked, could represent a setback in the Commission's plans, including ongoing change of votes into polling divisions, the next exercise on Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) and polling. "The Commission however wishes to remind the Nigerians that, as we continue to prepare for all electoral operations, we will not leave any stone unturned to recover from the Akwa Ibom state incident.
