The Def Jam African album "Rythms of Zamunda: Music Inspired By Coming 2 America" will feature some of South Africa's largest music stars. Officially published last weekend, the soundtrack list includes some of Mzansi and the greatest stars of Africa. All of them join Prince Kaybee, DJ Ganyani, Msaki, Njelic, Nasty C, Sha Sha and Gemini Big. In late 2019 when Sipho Dlamini, chief executive officer of Universal Music South Africa and sub-Saharan South Africa visited the offices of the Universal Music Group in LA, he realized that he had to find a way of participating. "I started e-mailing to find out where it was landing, and I contacted everybody. The Def Jam US team collaborated with Def Jam Africa to assist in the curation of an all-encompassing album for the official film, to show off a variety of African sounds and artists." The soundtrack "Rhythms of Zamunda: Music Inspired by Coming 2 America" which will be released on 5 March is the product of those talks. The publication also announced exclusively that the 16 songs of the album are by African musicians from all over the diaspora, many signed on Universal Africa labels. Nasty C's recently released single "Black & White," featuring American singer Ari Lennox, "Fetch Your Life" from Kaybee and "Loke Loke" from Gemini, as well as "Overdue" from Tellaman and Sha Sha are identified. Hitmaker Prince Kaybee took Instagram to say how pleased he was to see that African music is being taken care of by the world.

"Happy to be on the influenced album 'Coming two America.' THE Universe IS ARICA MUSICE WATCHING. Shout for the AFRICAN fellows on the record," he said.
